Default Reset Documents & Setting "link" on cloned disk

I have a laptop running Windows XP. The origianl configuration had the
Documents & Setting directory moved from the C: partition to the D:
partition. I just cloned the original partitions using Ghost to a new larger
dirve. When I try to log in I receive the message "Windows cannot create a
trmporary profile directory...". I suspect the problem is that the "link"
between the c: & d: partitions on the new disk is not correct. Can someone
advise how to fix this?
