TrueImage seems to rate higher among people, but I just still use Ghost 2003. Ghost 2003 includes a DOS version, which runs off a bootable medium (floppy or DVD). It has all the drivers necessary to image a HDD (entire or partion) onto a bootable CD/DVD, USB drives, even to a network device, etc. I like it becauses it runs outside of windows. Simple and to the point... Don't bother with Ghost 2004 or greater -- its all junk. Ghost 2004 and above doesn't include a DOS version. Symantec turned it into bloated crapware after 2003. (Symantec turned everything they touch into crapware after 2003.) |
