Are there any problems or disadvantages of installing windows XP over
windows 2000? Am I going to lose anything? Should I just back up everything and format the hard drive and do a clean install of windows XP instead? |

You will have to verify your hardware/software will work in Windows XP. -- Shenan Stanley MS-MVP -- How To Ask Questions The Smart Way http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html |

XP Home will not install as an upgrade over Windows 2000. And it will have to be either a Retail or Volume License version - OEM versions will not do upgrade installs.
