I run Windows xp, servpk2, and IE7. After I down loaded "Adobe Reader
8.0" it placed an icon on my desktop which will not delete when I right click on it with my mouse. I un installed the program but the icon is still on my desktop and in the Start>All Programs menu, "Adobe Reader 8.0" is listed but again I can't delete it by right clicking on it. What does happen is my hourglass pops up and then after a few seconds my desktop and taskbar reset. It seems that if I right click on anything in my taskbar or in the programs list, instead of getting a menu like: open;delete;send to; etc. I get the hourglass and a reset on my desktop and tastbar. Any help anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, John |

I fixed the problem using a program called "ShellExView". Instuctions
were posted at: http://windows.mvps.org/slowrightclick.htm. It was a problem with a "context menu handler" that came from "ShredXP" a shredding program I had installed and hadn't used. My thanks to all who took time to help out. John JoHpr13 wrote: > I run Windows xp, servpk2, and IE7.
