tell me how you're "seeing" these.
tell me also how you're publishing/ uploading.
if possible a URL to this site would be helpful.
are these duplicate files causing any trouble?

when I click on "remote website" at the bottom of the page and it displays my
local website on the left and the remote on the right. The files in the
local are fine. The files in the remote website are a mess. Website is
http://www.imaginethisstudios.com.
I go to file/publish site I am very new at this. I do not think they are,
but not sure.
Thanks,
jshug

I just read your reply to Bob L. Just to let you know I too have godaddy.com
as my hosting server. Sigh

It's OK, you can still get by with them.
from your description it sounds like you're publishing correctly.

as long as your local site is cool and you've got no problems with it you
can set your cursor in the "remote site" pane, hit control-a to select
everything, then click the little delete icon on the upper part of that
pane.
it'll wipe out everything, then do a full publish.
Don't get me wrong, it's not ideal but I've done it before without negative
impact.

If you like use my contact link below and I'll open it up live and have a
look for you.
