error message when importing mpg into WMM

I've just started out with a new SONY DCR-SR80. I'm using the SONT software
to capture the video from the camera onto the HD. When I either drag and
drop, or use "import into collections", I get the following error message:

C:\XXXXX\\My Documents\My Videos\ImageMixer3\'07_01_05_01\M2U00015.MPG could
not be imported. An interface has too many methods to fire events from

Does anyone have any idea what this means and what I can do to get around
the issue? The MPG file is a training video that's about 2G.
