Default Vista RTM and XP Pro conflict

Hi Folks: I am dual booting Vista Ultimate RTM and XP pro-- the problem is
that when I boot into XP Vista keeps knocking out the battery indicator on
my taskbar. I have reset it in so many times and reboot back into XP
sometimes it will load up but most the times it won't - this never happens
in Vista- and only when I installed Vista RTM-it wreaks havoc with XP. Has
anyone got a solution? I like to have battery % showing. Specs listed
below-- Thank You -- Jackie

Acer Ferrari 4005 WLMI-Laptop I bought new 9 months ago.
AMD Turion 64

Not sure how or why the two would interact. Honestly I don't believe
they are interacting unless you've got them both on the same partition.
You might consider booting only to Vista and running XP in a virtual
instance, using (for example) Virtual PC 2004 or Virtual Server 2005 if
you're running Vista x64.
