Depending on the case, the size of the PSU might cause it to not fit. You also need to be aware of the AC Plug and power Switch (if it has a power switch on the PSU) so that your mounting plate doesn't cover one or the other. As for connectors, just make sure you get one with the same connectors - there are new ATX PSU's that have SATA power connectors and fewer AT style connectors, so you can end up short of the older AT style power connectors if you don't pay attention. -- spam999free@rrohio.com remove 999 in order to email me |

No such thing.
"micro" is referring to the formfactor of the motherboard. It takes up less acreage than a plain jane ATX. -- Jonny "alex1981" <alex1981@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:3570E4A8-F4EE-4BCC-851C-53BAF8FA7E7A@microsoft.com... > Another question....is there any difference between a micro ATX and > regular > ATX power supply.....my board is factor micro ATX but I think the power > supply is full ATX.....suggestions? |

The "standard" ATX power supply connector should still fix. There are
only two different types of ATx power connectors: The old 20 pin -- ATX 2.0 (????) standard The new 24 pin -- ATX 2.05 (???) -- used for newer motherbaord and may already come with PCI-e and SATA power connectors. alex1981 wrote: > Another question....is there any difference between a micro ATX and regular > ATX power supply.....my board is factor micro ATX but I think the power > supply is full ATX.....suggestions? |

The 24 pin version still has the 20 pin connector, wired the same. The
other 4 pins are on a separate connector, provides additional +12V. -- Jonny "smlunatick" <yveslec@gmail.com> wrote in message news:1168024958.382044.130180@51g2000cwl.googlegroups.com... > The "standard" ATX power supply connector should still fix.
