Error 0x80ee000c

I am experiencing the above error whenever I try to do remote assistance, whiteboard, or application sharing (in messenger or not). I can do remote desktop to my computer at work over the company's VPN but nothing else. I have read all the suggestions I can find online and nothing helps.

1) Do you think it might have to do with the VPN software (I think I might have once been able to do it before I had the VPN software installed at home).

2) Any suggestions PLEEASE??
