Default Difference between Messenger & "Live" Messenger

Help.

We just installed Logitech Pro 5000 webcam to contact our daughter in BC.

I have a number of questions

Do we need to subscribe and pay for another service such as SKYPE, MSN or
Logitech to use them?

What is the difference between MSN Messenger and MSN LIVE Messenger?

Greetings,

Skype and Messenger is free. Give both a try to see which you like the best and what gives
you the best results.

Windows Live Messenger is just the latest version of MSN Messenger; it's just a name change
from Microsoft marketing.
