Default WebCam / Video Calls disconnect after 30 seconds

I have recently walked a family member thru the installation of Windows
Live Messenger (WLM) and a new "Trust" web cam. However, after connecting
the image freezes and disconnects after about 30 seconds. While connected,
the image quality and the voice is excellent. We are able to continue a
text conversation after the video call ends and it does not freeze the
computer. Once the video call ends, there are no error messages displayed

This family member has DSL internet service, a new computer with the
latest updates. We have tried uninstalling and re-installing both WLM and
the
"Trust"camera software. We have also tried disabling the windows
firewall and Kaspersky antivirus. I have made sure that NAV and the firewall
have WLM as a program exception. I have made sure they have the latest
version of Direct X and even tried to slow the hardware acceleration.

I have tried everything I know but can't make the connection last
longer than 20-30 seconds without an automatic end to the video call. I am
able to connect to several other family members without problems so the
problem is isolated to this one computer. If anyone has any thoughts on
how to
fix this issue, I would greatly appreciate the help.

Alexander
