I'd been getting a message that my computer could not recognize my personal
settings, so I ran a system restore. Now my computer won't fully restart. It gets as far as reloading my wallpaper and goes no further. I've tried fully shutting down. Same deal. What should I do??? -- SusieQ |

If not try thses steps: 1- Try to Create a new Profile and see if that will help, if creating a new profile helped try to coy your data from the Old profile to the new one and Delete the old corrupted profile. On how to create a new profile read this: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/811151 If still no joy try to do a Reinstall/Repair to your system after backing up your Data to a removable Storage (CDs,DVDs or Zip,USB) and try to read these steps: http://www.michaelstevenstech.com/XPrepairinstall.htm P.S How old your machine and what make the motherboard?. HTH. Please let us know. Regards, nass ------- www.nasstec.co.uk |
