Microsoft, you blew it again....
After a week of installing-uninstalling live messenger, looking for the traces of unknown dlls, or shell extensions, services or any other thing that could be causing the very annoying random freezes when chatting that would last for 20 seconds then go away for a few minutes and come back again...I discovered that it was WLMD that was the culprit!!!! I must have tried to reinstall live messenger (various versions) for more than 15 times!!! Aggravating is an understatement... It effected NOT only messenger live, but msn messenger and various portable msn and live messengers I had.. the ONLY messenger that was immune was WINDOWS MESSENGER. I used the most advanced system diagnostics to monitor all dlls loaded their process time, what other internet explorer add ons were loaded, not to mention that I did several spyware scans (of course I had no spyware because I am very careful), little did I know that WLMD is a spyware itself! After trying to remember all the list of programs that I have installed the last 10 days... it was WLMD that was creating the problem! lol A Microsoft application that is made to work with messenger live! The incompetence of Microsoft is hilarious.. but I was not laughing when these problems were occurring.... I was pulling my hair! WLMD is one of the worst applications I have seen... they took outlook express and transformed into a monster! Bad design, Bad design, did I mention bad design? Advertisments that take half the right screen and a HUUUGE top dead space for a search box. the left list pane is a Joke ( a bad joke),.... and now incompatibility and freezes? This is not beta, this is a monster... rant rant rant..... And you guys know whatthe real problem is ? They are looking for bugs in the bug.. its a big bug! Scrap it and redesign the monstrosity! ITS A'LIVE! Windows A'LIVE Mail Desktop!!! Well its not alive anymore on my pc.. adios amigos... WLMD is now on my list of most horrible applications of the decade! |

Good, now we don't have to listen to your silly rants. If you were as
careful as you claim you are, you wouldn't have any problems with WLMD. Of course it's easier to blame Microsoft than to accept that maybe, just maybe one of the other items on you "list of downloads" could possibly have been to blame. You can rant, so can I. Hi MicroFox,
My goodness, you are in a Tissy!! Do you feel better now? After over 83 years hanging around this world I have found out that the "Blame Game" is just an exercise in futility, and is a waste of time and effort. Do yourself a favour, take a break, hoist a couple, and relax! If I was close by, they would be on me. Keep smiling Uncle Gus "MicroFox" <-> wrote in message news:unyXZSwFHHA.4588@TK2MSFTNGP05.phx.gbl... > Microsoft, you blew it again.... > > After a week of installing-uninstalling live messenger, looking for the > traces of > unknown dlls, or shell extensions, services or any other thing that could > be causing the very annoying random freezes when chatting that would last > for 20 seconds then go away for a few minutes and come back again...I > discovered that it was WLMD that was the culprit!!!! > > I must have tried to reinstall live messenger (various versions) for more > than 15 times!!! I am very relaxed...
My post was to inform the live developers that might have come here to fix their application. I am doing it with a style I chose for this post. My rant was like this on purpose to get their attention. Good manners dont always get the message accross... I care not if they like me or not... perhaps they will hate me...Its ok. But my purpose is just, the attitude of this post is only superficial... I am a man that cares. > If you were as careful as you claim you are, you wouldn't have any
> problems with WLMD. So that means people having problems with WLMD are not as careful as we should have. In terms of what? Kindly enlighten us. And you don't have any problems with WLMD at this point, and if you were the product manager, you would release it? The only way qualifying you (and others with different opinions) are not rants is to provide tangible facts for what he said is not true. Otherwise, you are just as annoying as those you condemned. Blind follower is not smarter; they just do know what they're talking about.
