Default i-O Systems 3D Gaming System

Any comments on this review, anything else you'd like to see included?

If you reply quick with some suggestions, I can take a look at it for you whilst I still have the kit.

LCD shutter glasses have been out for the pc since late 80's, not early 99.

I wonder how you made them work with FS2002 since the nvidia stereo glasses doesn't support them.

I wouldn't recommend them for first person shooters and much less in multiplayer. Altough they do work great with wolfenstein, MOH and Alice.

I think they work much better with racing games, NFS5, Viper Racing, F1 2001 and Nascar 2002 look awesome with 3d glasses. As do Battle of naboo and Starfighter.

just my 2 cents.

I have a Elsa 3D Revelator and I would like to see a comparison between the elsa and the i-O cordless. Also when I set separation to 10 % or higher, I clearly see 2 images instead of 1. How to train my eyes?

I must say, I had to use a cable between my monitor from which I had to remove the ddc pins, when I put this cable in, I get ghosting (noticable when using office applications) so I leave it out most of the time... Is there also some comflict with ddc when using the i-O cordless?

I think you have gotta kind of get the hang of "how to look at it" ,its very hard to explain ,but try this ,use a little more seperation ,then turn your back to your monitor ,take a few steps back and see if there is any change ,also ,try the nvidia stereo drives ,they are better then the elsa drivers(imho) and they are compatible with more games.I think maybe removeing the pins caused that problem ,I have never had it ,and why exactly did you remove them?

I remember 3D gasses in the late 50's early 60's ... they were blue & red "sweetie wrapper papers" and, err, plastic ... LoL, I'm older than I look.

Have you ever had a packet of 'Cornflakes' http://www.kellogs.de/ ... It is a British thing.

Kellogs were giving 'em free to watch black-n-white TV ... in 3D Colour ????

BLACK 'N WHITE.

OK, OK - I concede on the first one Shutter glasses were available for specialised pieces of software and proprietary hardware.

As for Flight Sim, they worked great!? Do you mean the drivers I was using shouldn’t support it, or that the glasses shouldn’t? Admittedly, I had to close the HUD so I didn’t strain my eyes on its awkward depth - but I usually do that anyway.

When I tried them a while ago there were a lot of artifacts and planes were not rendered properly. I asked in sterovision.net forums and they said FS2002 was not supported by the nvidia stereo drivers V23.11. I'll have to reinstall to check if they work now as it seems that the problem has been corrected.

When you look through these glasses do the colors all remain intact or do they appear a little different like those green/red glasses years ago did? When you said they slowed games a little bit in the article how much were you referring to? In the range of 10fps? If so, then that's super!

Do you know where you can get these in the UK?
