Default transferring Movie Maker files

I made a movie on one computer and, when I transferred it, and all the scans
used in the movie to my laptop, none of the pictures showed up. I imported
the pictures and they still don't show up. What do I do to make the file
transfer work correctly? I do the movie development on a desktop using Movie
Maker 2.1 and want to show the movie from my laptop using the same version of
Movie Maker.

Help is needed URGENTLY!!!

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

==================================

Instead of saving your creation as a movie in
the .wmv or .avi format, you transferred the
..mswmm project file didn't you?

The project file would show the Red Xs
because it does not include the source files.
Since you have transferred the original source
files to the new computer...open Movie Maker
and try right clicking the Red Xs and try to
browse to the source files.

For playing / sharing your creations...try
saving them in a movie format. Then you
can play them in Windows Media Player.

To save as a .wmv movie file...
Type...Ctrl+P to open the Save Movie Wizard /
Choose...My Computer /
Next /
Enter a Name and a Save Location /
Next / Next.
Wait while the movie is saved /
Finish...

To save as an .avi movie file...
(and several other options)
Type...Ctrl+P to open the Save Movie Wizard /
Choose...My Computer /
Next /
Enter a Name and a Save Location /
Next /
Show More Choices /
Other Settings /
Open the drop window and choose...DV-AVI /
Next /
Wait while the movie is saved /
Finish...

Yes, I transferred the .mswmm project file.

I did this and was able to import the pictures (saved scans) by browsing.
However, even the scans that are used in the movie still come up as red "x".
The pictures only go into the proper location if I find the scan with the
proper number and physically drag and drop it into the right place. This is
essentially redoing the entire movie which seems crazy.
