I recently downloaded the new Windows Internet Explorer 7, and ever since; I
now cannot get my quicktime player funtion to work on mpg video files, when accessing a particular website. Ironically it works fine on the Apple Home Pages. What could be the problem? It's not the computer security system interfering, because I've already explored those options. I'm really stumped and at a loss right now. Could someone out there please help in shedding some light on this perplexing problem? Thanks! |

In the hopes that someone may be able to shed some light on this subject, I
too am having serious problems with QT across many sites/pages. All I keep getting is the infamous big "Q" with the white "?" in the center across multiple sites(except QT site fine), even on Google video, which I understand uses/plays with macromedia or others? I've installed, uninsitalled, re-installed these in multiple combinations: IE7, QT(regular before and after IE7), QT prefs-allowed "all" mime settings-proxy-checked/unchecked all (and then back to default settings, macromedia-flash 10, WMV-up-to date, XP-UTD, allowed firewall for all QT apps, searched forums, QT support or link for help non-existant, allowed windows Defender-ok, started-restarted computer, emptied temps-disk clean-registry cleaned by MS and others, searched Yahoo, Google, and other forums for hints and troubleshooting. Still no luck and same reuslt-big blue "Q". Anyone that can share any ideas-greatly appreciated. |
