1) Safe Mode won't allow it to happen, because Safe Mode doesn't even try to
load the drivers, and ignores the other extras you've installed. 2) I checked http://www.maxtor.com/en/documentat...ation_guide.pdf And found an interesting clue on page 25 (pg. 21 on the manual, but it shows as pg 25 in Adobe)... Have you used the 'Unplug/Eject' icon BEFORE shutting down? It might allow you to gracefully avoid the problem. 3) Otherwise, try searching their Knowledge Base....
