opening a cd

After useing Nero to burn a file to a cd-rw it wont open and when I click on
the cd drive it says no disk. Nero said the burn had been completed. I'm
still having a problem with the cd, and the dvd will play the audio but no
vidio.

Did you switch to DVD from CD in Nero before burning?

I am sorry, there are realy two seperate questions. the first pretains to a
file I burned to a cd and then it wont open after Nero said it was finished.
The seconed is when in the DVD mode with a DVD in, it will play the audio but
not the vidio. I feel they are part of the same problem. I have had trouble
ever since I instaled XP. Right after I installed XP over Win 98 2ed I was in
contact wit microsoft about the CD_RW not being recconized any more They had
me change some stuff (that I cant remember what it was),but it never fixed
the problem. I have changed out the DVD burner with a new one with no
change,so I put the old one back in. Now with Nero I can write a file,but
not open it,Play a audio CD, record it to a disk,at least Nero says I did. i
It wont open. In my computer the CD drive says there is no disk. And the DVD
will give sound but no picture. I wish some one could plug into my computer
and make what ever corrections necessary./
