I started to observe a strange pheromone since yesterday.
Task bar (except for Start button and system tray) becomes transparent for while. When task bar becomes transparent, mouse becomes disabled. It appears that something is going on behind. Later, the task bar returned to normal (opaque). Then, mouse starts to work. I am under the impression that this problem starts after regular Windows update (silent) yesterday. Does anybody have similar experience? If so, how did you fix the problem? Craig |

Craig Just joking, sorry. First see if these instructions from MVP Ramesh help. Transparent drop-down Menu and disappearing menu text - http://windowsxp.mvps.org/transmenu.htm And no, none of my machines have experienced anything out of the ordinary since doing the updates. I have no problem with drop-down menus. Their behavior is normal. The problem is with task bar. Anyway, I will follow the instruction which you advised me. Thanks.
