I have a friend who is losing the use of his hands. He's doing pretty well
using voice recognition, but has recently found, using a borrowed laptop, that a touchpad mouse works much better for him than the large trackball that he's used for years. I've sent him a Cherry keyboard with a built-in touchpad mouse which I had handy, but I suspect he might be better served by a somewhat larger standalone device. Does anyone reading here have such a device they'd recommend? -- |

Something like this? http://www.digitalgraphicsresources...TS&Category=246 I have never used a stand-alone touchpad but using Google turned up several dealers that had them available. The above is only one of the many results that were listed. -- Sharon F MS-MVP ~ Windows Shell/User |

Thanks - that's a useful lead. He's still checking out the one I sent--it
retained the button settings from his trackball because he left the software for that installed, and had reversed left and right clicks, and I believe right-click was set to double-click. So, when he taps the keypad he gets a double-click which was annoyng. -- "Sharon F" <sharonfDEL@ETEmvps.org> wrote in message news:O7aCVsR1GHA.4972@TK2MSFTNGP03.phx.gbl... > On Thu, 7 Sep 2006 15:58:15 -0400, Bill Sanderson wrote: > >> I have a friend who is losing the use of his hands. I hope he finds something that fits his needs as perfectly as is possible. -- Sharon F MS-MVP ~ Windows Shell/User |
