When ever I try to open a program, i get the following error message:
"This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create and association in the Folder Options control panel" This issue came up with: MS Word, AIM, Spybot, the Windows Firewall and Date & Time (with the Control Panel for the last two) I tried to what the error message instructs, but it won't let me open it. I reccently deleted a bunch of old files, so i thought maybe i deleted somthing important. But i restored my entire Recycle Bin, so I don't know. If it's a virus, I tried to delete it with Panda, which I could only get to open when a box poped up in the corner (the program itself wouldn't open on teh desktop or in the start menu.) I would appricate any help! Thanks! |

Check the list of files at below website and see if the type of file you
are trying to open is listed. Every app, document or graphic needs a file association for it to open. You can also rightclick the particular file and click "Open with..." and select/browse what app you want to use.
