Did you enable the microphone, or is it still muted? Please see Help and
Support, search the word Microphone and use the links to check that you
set it up correctly.

From your description you have a poor audio subsystem that can not
record sound while the speakers play. You may buy a soundcard that is
capable of this or you may forgo playback while recording.

Hello Bob

Thanks for your advice. It's very nice to see that there are people like you
to help. Can you explain what you mean by "you may forgo playback while
recording."

Do you know how I can check which type sound card I do have in my computer.

Can you tell me which type sound card is the best solution for my problem.

Thanks in advance

The message you receive indicates the "c-media wave system" you have is
not capable of duplex operation.

Most any aftermarket sound cards would be better. I use creative labs
cards but haven't bought one in 3-4 years.
