Hello
I would like to change where my outlook nk2 file is stored. By default the folder is (even if my pst file is on another drive...) : C:\Documents and Settings\<Profile>\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook Jean-Pierre |

For what purpose?
You can move it with Windows Explorer, but then Outlook will no longer use it. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Dalit Shickman" <Dalit Shickman@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:F775DA9D-C86F-454C-AC2E-B7A12C0E6A2B@microsoft.com... > i'm sorry but that link doesn't give me anything. is there a way to move > the > nk2 file to a different location. > Thank you > > "nara" wrote: > >> Hello >> >> Here a solution : >> >> http://shell-shocked.org/article.php?id=284 >> >> JP >> >> On Wed, 09 Aug 2006 15:36:04 +0200, nara <nara20@hotmail.com> wrote: >> >> >Hello >> > >> >I would like to change where my outlook nk2 file is stored. >> >By default the folder is (even if my pst file is on another drive...) >> >: >> >C:\Documents and Settings\<Profile>\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook >> > >> >Jean-Pierre >> >> |

The purpose is the following. i want the file to be on the D: drive and for
outlook to use it from that location. my c: drive is frozen so the file can't be updated there. You cannot redirect Outlook to use an NK2 file in a location other than the
default. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Dalit Shickman" <DalitShickman@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:92D302EE-8BB2-4154-9ECA-2C3259B5D946@microsoft.com... > The purpose is the following. i want the file to be on the D: drive and > for > outlook to use it from that location. my c: drive is frozen so the file > can't be updated there. > > "Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook]" wrote: > >> For what purpose? >> You can move it with Windows Explorer, but then Outlook will no longer >> use >> it. >> -- >> Russ Valentine >> [MVP-Outlook] >> "Dalit Shickman" <Dalit Shickman@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in >> message >> news:F775DA9D-C86F-454C-AC2E-B7A12C0E6A2B@microsoft.com... >> > i'm sorry but that link doesn't give me anything. is there a way to >> > move >> > the >> > nk2 file to a different location. >> > Thank you >> > >> > "nara" wrote: >> > >> >> Hello >> >> >> >> Here a solution : >> >> >> >> http://shell-shocked.org/article.php?id=284 >> >> >> >> JP >> >> >> >> On Wed, 09 Aug 2006 15:36:04 +0200, nara <nara20@hotmail.com> wrote: >> >> >> >> >Hello >> >> > >> >> >I would like to change where my outlook nk2 file is stored. >> >> >By default the folder is (even if my pst file is on another drive...) >> >> >: >> >> >C:\Documents and Settings\<Profile>\Application >> >> >Data\Microsoft\Outlook >> >> > >> >> >Jean-Pierre >> >> >> >> >> |
