Latest MS updatates broke it!

Default Latest MS updatates broke it!


I just downloaded the new ms updates & after re-start I get the following
messageThe file ExSec32.dll is incompatible with Microsoft Office
Outlook. Install Outlook again and my Outlook will not work now. Any hints
as to what is wrong??? Please tell me I do not have to doa a
re-install.aWebParson

I have exactly the same problem and have been unable to resolve it. If you
reinstall and then do the security updates you are right back to the same
issue.

So from Start|All Programs|Microsoft Office|Microsoft Office Tools, I ran
Microsoft Office Diagnostics. That sent me to a webpage that said I had no
other errors other than conflicting versions of Office installed on my PC. (I
still have Office 2003 installed.)

Then I went into Outlook (it let me get in this time). From Tools|Account
Settings, I clicked on Repair. It looked like Outlook was re-establishing my
ISP connection. The autoconnect never did work, but I manually clicked
through my DSL account settings, then clicked on Test email. The email sent
and lo and behold, my email is working again without reinstalling anything.
