I have exactly the same problem and have been unable to resolve it. If you
reinstall and then do the security updates you are right back to the same issue. Found this link http://forums.microsoft.com/TechNet...27589&SiteID=17 ****snip**** So from Start|All Programs|Microsoft Office|Microsoft Office Tools, I ran Microsoft Office Diagnostics. That sent me to a webpage that said I had no other errors other than conflicting versions of Office installed on my PC. (I still have Office 2003 installed.) Then I went into Outlook (it let me get in this time). From Tools|Account Settings, I clicked on Repair. It looked like Outlook was re-establishing my ISP connection. The autoconnect never did work, but I manually clicked through my DSL account settings, then clicked on Test email. The email sent and lo and behold, my email is working again without reinstalling anything. ****snip**** |
