I have been using Front Page 2003 for over two years to manage my web site.
Suddenly, I can not establish the remote site on my computer in order to publish files from the local site to the remorte site. Help! |

Does the remote site open in your browser??
If you have been publishing using the http:// address, have your host reset / restore the FrontPage Extensions. -- Steve Easton Microsoft MVP FrontPage FP Cleaner http://www.95isalive.com/fixes/fpclean.htm Hit Me FP http://www.95isalive.com/fixes/HitMeFP.htm "Dick Percy" <Dick Percy@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:285A1B10-18A2-4143-96A2-B29D7FE45E8E@microsoft.com... >I have been using Front Page 2003 for over two years to manage my web site. > Suddenly, I can not establish the remote site on my computer in order to > publish files from the local site to the remorte site. Yes, the remote site opens in my browser. I will ask my server to
reset/restore my Front Page Extensions and hopefully that will do it. Thanks, Dick Percy "Steve Easton" wrote: > Does the remote site open in your browser?? > > If you have been publishing using the http:// address, have your host reset / restore the > FrontPage Extensions. > > -- > Steve Easton > Microsoft MVP FrontPage > FP Cleaner > http://www.95isalive.com/fixes/fpclean.htm > Hit Me FP > http://www.95isalive.com/fixes/HitMeFP.htm > > > "Dick Percy" <Dick Percy@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message > news:285A1B10-18A2-4143-96A2-B29D7FE45E8E@microsoft.com... > >I have been using Front Page 2003 for over two years to manage my web site. > > Suddenly, I can not establish the remote site on my computer in order to > > publish files from the local site to the remorte site. I set up a new website "makahamindfulness.com", but when I try to publish to
it, Frontpage 2003 just hangs, or gives me a message that it can't find it. But, I can open it with my browser, and I checked and I do have the frontpage extensions set up. Any ideas on the problem? I used to publish to an IP address sometimes, but I don't see how to do that in Frontpage 2003 either. Any help appreciated! shammy "Steve Easton" wrote: > Does the remote site open in your browser?? Thanks for the try, but that's what I'm entering. It just says 'cannot
open..." and "check front page extensions..." etc. I'm stuck. "Thomas A. Are you sure the domain has been registered and setup on the hosting server and that the server has
the FP extensions installed? -- ============================================== Thomas A.
