Thought that might get some attention..
I am starting out working with Frontpage on my boss' webiste. the site is already done and I am just updating information and adding links and stuff... got how to do that. BUT I need to add a page... simple, BUT when i went into Navigation mode, my 1st website (my daughters) that I have threw my internet provider came up... NOT my boss' navigational info. I know that I can only upload index.html to a website, but I don't want to interwind my daughter's site with my bosses site and any new ones that I might be making. HOW do I seperate them??? easy, english form please.... THANKS PATTI |

You can create and publish a page with any file name you choose.
Example: cindarella.htm However, to keep the webs separate, you need to create a new web in FrontPage. File > New > Empty web. Click save and give it a name. -- Steve Easton Microsoft MVP FrontPage FP Cleaner http://www.95isalive.com/fixes/fpclean.htm Hit Me FP http://www.95isalive.com/fixes/HitMeFP.htm "patti" <patti@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news 9BB9D70-6EE0-4AE8-A843-AD2E698EE877@microsoft.com...> Thought that might get some attention.. > I am starting out working with Frontpage on my boss' webiste. the site is > already done and I am just updating information and adding links and stuff... > got how to do that. What zip files??
You can't open a zip file in a browser!! Can we start over?
Patti, are you working on your own computer, or is your daughter's website on your boss's computer at the office? Which ever... Steve's instruction is right about needing a web folder for daughter's website and another web folder for boss' website. Patti you say you have been just updating your boss' site that is already done. Is it true that you already have a separate folder in My Webs (1 for daughter) and (1 for (boss)? What seems to be missing is, you have to create the path to your boss' website at his ISP, instead of using the path to the daughter's website at your own ISP. In your boss' navigational info they gave you, find the boss' path to his website. When your daughter's website comes up when you are publishing, select the daughter's path, and 'over-type in' your boss' path. If you don't have that path (the address to his site) but you know how to find the site on your computer, go there. On that first page, copy the URL. That is the path to your boss' site. For the public: We blondes have trouble because we can't always ask the question right, or the teacher is a genius who forgets how to start out simple (grin). HI
Of course we can start over. All of these sites are on my home computer. My daughters/sons site is threw my internet provider and it is only 1 page :0 I am now going to be taking over my boss' site (who is an author, and lives across the country, I work from home for her) anyway, her website/designer can't do it anymore and since it is already done and up I was just going to take it over and update it. She doesn't mind that I am a virgin.. BUT I don't want to mess up her site. Now kindergarten language ... should I start over from scratch? what would I do? Open up front page 2003 Open up new website? or open file?? I think that is where my problem is?? Plus I am blonde and I have no clue what I am doing!!! ha ha ha ha Yes I do need to create a path... ahhhhhh help with that... Sorry if I am a pain.... I try not to be, but I do have a 11 month old and a 3 year old so the blonde brain cells are GONE... thanks again Patti "DSG" wrote: > Can we start over? > > Patti, are you working on your own computer, or is your daughter's website > on your boss's computer at the office? > > Which ever...
