Default HP ScanJet 5370c

If I fill up the glass on my scanner with a document of photo's
(whatever I'm scanning) and click the preview button not all of what is
on the glass gets scanned. About a 1/2 inch gets cut off one side and
some off the bottom too.

Not being that familiar with scanners I don't know if this is normal or
if there is a way to fix it.

Any suggestions? I've searched google. Either there is nothing here
about this or I'm not searching with the right keywords.

Thanks!

Abigail

There should be a "crop" tool. Select it and stretch the edges the same
way you stretch a window. If that does not work, then the scanner may
limit the area that is scannable to avoid uneven illumination or other
distortions.
