I have a Canon MP750 multifunction device. I can not get it to scan
but it will print. I have tried un-installing all of the scanner drivers and reinstalling them two or three times. I have tried disconnecting all other USB devices. I have tried two other USB cables. I have tried two other USB ports. I have tried scanning from PhotoImpact and with the MP Navigator program. I have tried re-booting my computer several times. I have tried unplugging the MP750 from the AC power and leaving it unplugged for several minutes then plugging it back in. I have tried un-installing all the USB entries in Device Manager and then restarting my computer so that they are re-detected and re-installed.z Nothing works. Scanning does work when it is connected to my brother's computer. He has an Abit KR7A-133 with an Athlon 1500+, a gig of ram and Windows XP home service pack 2. When I try scanning with the MP Navigator program, the program says it is scanning for about 15 minutes and then gives an error message of Code: 155, 0, 0 or Code: 2, 155, 0. Even after the software gives an error message, the MP750's display still says that it is scanning and it will not turn off until after I unplug the USB cable. When I try scanning from PhotoImpact it gets to from eight to twenty percent complete and then stops for about five minutes and gives the same error messages. I have an Epox 8RGA+ with a Barton 2500+, a gig of ram and Windows XP home service pack 2. Does anyone know how I can get this multifunction device to scan when it is connected to my computer? Thank you in advance for all replies. -- My previous cat Rocket thought that every time I ate something he should get some canned cat food. Marmaduke, the cat I have now, thinks that he should get canned food and be allowed to get on the table and eat what he wants off my plate. |

No more litter box, no more stink of pee and feces. Have you downloaded and installed the latest software compatible with Windows XP? http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/c...4&modelid=10443 The latest is PIXMA MP750/780 MP Driver Ver. 600a for Windows 2000/XP -- CSM1 http://www.carlmcmillan.com -- |

Could there be something wrong with the USB ports on my computer's motherboard that prevent the MP750 from scanning even though it prints and other USB devices work? Do you think I should try buying and installing an add-on USB 2.0 card with the NEC chipset? (I have read that cards with the NEC chipset are the best.) -- My previous cat Rocket thought that every time I ate something he should get some canned cat food. Does anyone know how I can get this >multifunction device to scan when it is connected to my computer? >Thank you in advance for all replies. I got it to work by doing a selective startup with only Microsoft drivers loaded, un-installing the driver, installing the latest driver (600a) and then setting my USB ports to 1.1 (instead of 1.1 and 2.0) in the BIOS. I have ordered a USB 2.0 PCI card with a NEC chipset. I hope that if anyone else has this problem, they find this message on Google newsgroup search. -- My previous cat Rocket thought that every time I ate something he should get some canned cat food.
