When I connect a Buslink 80G USB 2.0 extenal hard drive
it gets partially recognized by XP as a mass storage device but no drive letter is assigned and the drive cannot be located in windows explorer. When I attach other usb devices like cameras or memory pens baloons come up from the task bar describing the device and the installation process. This does not happen with the Buskink drive. A mass storage device just appears in the "safe to remove hardware" icon. When I double click the remove icon the mass storage device is identified as a Samsung SP0802N USB Device with no drive letter. How can I get a drive letter assigned to this device. |

Probably needs to be partitioned and formatted: right click My
