The easiest way of doing this is to install the temporary second hard drive as the *master* drive on the secondary IDE channel. With a "normal" PC configuration this is easily accomplished by unplugging the data cable and power lead from the CD-ROM drive and using these for the temporary second hard drive. That avoids all complications with master/slave jumper settings and also avoids the (relatively rare) situation when two drives just will not work together in a master/slave configuration. This problem is most often encountered when the two drives are from different manufacturers and also were produced several years apart. Good luck Ron Martell Duncan B.C.
