Default need help! using 160G 1394 hard drive in XP

I'm using HP pavillion 8951 PC (bought on 11.2001)
P4 1.7GHz, 478, i845 chipset, 512M ram, 60G HDD

I would like to use external HDD (Segate 160G, uDMA 100)
with external 1394 HDD case
(XIO Cobra, lucent chipset,uDMA100)

When I connected the HDD directly on the slave cable of
HP8951, the PC recognize the HDD as 128GB.
(same as connected through Xio Cobra case)

And, in XP Home edition, I can make a NTFS parttion only.
But, I have to make FAT32 parttion for disk sharing
with Apple Macintosh (G4).

--Question--
1) Is the BIOS out-of-date?
If I upgrade BIOS, can I use the HDD as 160GB?
2) I would like to make a FAT32 parttion.
How can I make? and can farmat 160G in 1 partition?
3) Can the XP recognize 160GB disk(FAT32 format)?

Thanks,
Deokseon You

Anything over 35gb must be NTFS.
