Running Office2003 on Windows XP. I installed SP2 and ever since, Outlook
reconfigures every time I run it, or send an e-mail. I have run the Repair feature but still have the same problem. Does anyone know a solution to this problem? |

Is it almost like the screen flickers? If so, I have the same problem and
just posted a question about it too. "Renate" wrote: > Running Office2003 on Windows XP. I installed SP2 and ever since, Outlook > reconfigures every time I run it, or send an e-mail. I have run the Repair > feature but still have the same problem. > > Does anyone know a solution to this problem? |

No, I actually get a dialog box that says something to the effect of
"configuring Outlook". Renate "jlbsmom" wrote: > Is it almost like the screen flickers? This generally means that your Windows XP user profile is corrupt. Easiest
way to verify is to create a new user id for windows XP and see if it does it under that new id. Hi,
Also, could you check for multiple installations of Outlook/Office in your computer from Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs too? Remove any other versions of Office(Trial editions) and check again. Thanks, Mittu "Renate" wrote: > Thank you. I'll try this. > > > "neo [mvp outlook]" wrote: > > > This generally means that your Windows XP user profile is corrupt. Hi Mittu,
The new user profile didn't help. Will now check as per your suggestion. Hi Mittu,
Sorry it took me so long to give you another update. After trying different things, the solution that finally worked was to uninstall Office 2003, then re-install it and install SP2.
