I just purchased a new notebook computer with MS Outlook installed. On my
desktop computer when I start typing a name in the To: field of a new e-mail, after a few keystokes, Outlook gives me suggestions based on e-mail I have received and sent. On the notebook, that feature seems to be turned off. How do I turn the feature on? Regards, F. Britt Harrington |

You won't start getting suggestions until you've sent some messages. Outlook uses the addresses in the messages you send to build that autocomplete list.

Sue,
Thanks for the e-mail. I have had the notebook for several weeks and have sent well over fifty e-mail from it. It still isn't offering suggestions. Regards, Britt -- F. does it suggest names if you send a second message to someone during the
same outlook session? the list is not saved between sessions unless outlook closes properly. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Author, Teach Yourself Outlook 2003 in 24 Hours Coauthor, OneNote 2003 for Windows (Visual QuickStart Guide) Need Help with Common Tasks? http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/ Outlook 2007: http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/ol2007/ Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Subscribe to Exchange Messaging Outlook newsletter: EMO-NEWSLETTER-SUBSCRIBE-REQUEST@PEACH.EASE.LSOFT.COM "BrittHarrington" <BrittHarrington@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:1B322DDF-CEF2-40AC-9FBA-9D17E97A5894@microsoft.com... > Sue, > > Thanks for the e-mail.
