Hi,
When I try to synchronize my ipaq 6340 with Outlook 2007 and Vista (calendar and Contacts), Windows Mobile Device Center says "Outlook has not been configured" and I cannot mark the box for calendars and contacts :-( I've been looking around in Outlook and after some hours ... I must admit that I didn't find anything .... What can I do? --- Calendars and Contacts are really basic for me .... Thanks a lot !!!! |

The same for me with my Ipaq.
After the update, I was able to setup a connection between PC/Ipaq, and also to syncronise the notes from Outlook. But the Contacts and Calendar can't be enabled: "Outlook has not been configured". I think the only thing we can do is waiting till another update like we got this one. If your data is "really basic" for you, why are you running Beta software on
a system that contains irreplaceable/essential/important/vital data??? Are you prepared for that inevitable crash that can only be fixed by a complete format and reinstall? Are you prepared for your data to be lost or corrupted? Are you prepared for having no access to essential items when your system becomes unstable? -- Milly Staples [MVP - Outlook] Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. I'm working on a duoboot systeem. I keep my data on a separate disk. I can't
lose anything. IF the beta's crash on the one disk, I still have XP on the other disk and all the data on another disk. Nothing fatal can happen. Hi-
Just that was my impression too ..... But first I thought that it was only me because I am using an ipaq with Windows Mobile 2003 first edition ... which is ... quite old ... But with the patch everything works fine (but the calendars and contacts ... of course ....). Let's wait !! Thanks a lot !!! Honestly I think that everybody around here is pretty aware of what a beta
implies :-) In my case I think I tried all MS major betas since the early days of Dos .... so ... Thank you ... but like probably everybody else here I know what I am doing :-) "Milly Staples - MVP Outlook" wrote: > If your data is "really basic" for you, why are you running Beta software on > a system that contains irreplaceable/essential/important/vital data??? Actually, you're probably in the minority, based on the posts we've seen here in the past two weeks.

Updates generally are not available for public preview betas. Did you have a particular problem, Rod? If so, you might want to start a new discussion thread posting all the relevant details.
