Default Outlook Wizard

I recently purchased a copy of Office Professional Edition 2003 - Home use
program. When installing Outlook I erroneously exited the setup Wizard. Now
when I go to manually set it up the options I need to choose are greyed out
and it won't let me choose anything. Therefore I can't use Outlook as the
program won’t let me choose any options.
I called tech support but my contact did not have a good command of the
English language and could not help me. I tried re-installing the software
again to get the Wizard but that didn’t work either.

I need the files to enable the setup Wizard again or some other option as I
have a brand new copy of Outlook that I can’t use.

When I chose
Tools / email accounts
and try to add my name and server information I click in the boxes and it
won't let me enter anything. I called Time Warner (Road Runnner) to get them
to walk me through the process. When the software wouldn't let me enter
anything the only option I have is to try to find out from Microsoft how to
fix this?

Hi,

First of all, open Outlook> Help> Activate Product. Make sure Office is
activated.

If it fails, you could try the following steps-

Open registry editor. (Start> Run> regedit)
Back up the registry.

This key is found in the following location:-
HK_Current_User\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Outlook\Options

Delete following DWORDs - DisableHTTP, DisablePOP3, DisableExchange,
DisableIMAP, DisableOtherTypes for which the value is set to 1

Restart the machine and try again.

Thanks,

Mittu

Are you trying to add a POP3 account or IMAP4 account? Have you tried creating a new profile in Control Panel | [User Accounts] | Mail?

I am trying to add a POP3 acccount. I have not tried your control panel
option. Since I am a novice at this what would be the process?

Click Show Profiles, then Add to create a new profile, following the prompts and entering the account information you received from your mail provider. Then make that profile the default.
