Below is an error I am receiving that I believe is
causing my computer to freeze up at random intervals. The ONLY way out of this is to restart the computer. Any help solving this problem would be appreciated. Ryan. Hi,
Try run sfc /scannow with the original XP CD. If still no avail, you may need to perform a repair install of XP. After the repair installation, you need to re-activate windows and update the patches again; then run chkdisk, disk clean up and defrag. Backup your important data files first for just in case. Peter is right on the money. Most likely a corrupted XP
file. Another reason you may get this error is due to a virus called Nimda. To make sure you do not have this virus go to the following website and run a free online virus scan. http://housecall.antivirus.com >-----Original Message----- >Below is an error I am receiving that I believe is >causing my computer to freeze up at random intervals. >The ONLY way out of this is to restart the computer.
