how do i detect and connect to a wireless network

Default how do i detect and connect to a wireless network


i have heard there are hot spots

my computer says it will detect a hot spot but
how will it tell me and then what do i need to
do to use the wireless network ??? thanks new

Bill, you might try "Network Stumbler". Also check out
"alt.internet.wireless" for lots of good information.

It depends on the network. If you are using Windows XP, it will auto-detect
the network as available. In terms of connecting, many of them have you go
through a web page to sign up for the service or verify your eligibility to
use it for free - it depends on the network.
