I have a version of XP that needs updating. Unfortunetly
when I tried I received a message that it was a unauthorized copy. I have since purchased a new copy of XP but it will not update my current version. I don't want to remove everything from my system to load the new XP software. Any ideas? Thanks |

If you were using the "corp" version you will have to purchase a retail full
version of XP pro and perform an in-place upgrade (repair install). You cannot do it with an OEM disk or with any version of XP home. -- Larry Samuels MS-MVP (Windows-Shell/User) Associate Expert Unofficial FAQ for Windows Server 2003 at http://home.earthlink.net/~larrysamuels/WS2003FAQ.htm Expert Zone - www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone _____________________________________________ "Gary Vaughan" <gev3953@aol.com> wrote in message news:051501c341e1$a6707220$a501280a@phx.gbl... > I have a version of XP that needs updating.
