With most tablets you can have the mouse and the tablet installed at the
same time. Meaning they can both be plugged in and ready to go. Just use
one device at a time - switching between the two when it's comfortable
or desirable to do so.

The best way to learn how to use the tablet is just to use it. Instead
of moving the mouse (or trackball) to move the cursor on the screen,
moving the pen across the tablet. I had a Pablo tablet many years ago. I
now have a Wacom tablet attached to my desktop. Similar to the Wacom,
you should be able to "double tap" with the pen point on the tablet to
perform a "double click."

When you installed the Pablo drivers/software it should have added a
user's guide to your start menu. If you don't see that on your start
menu, check the contents of the CD for a help file. You can find the
rest of the details about navigating Windows and programs in that
documentation.

TIP: Your natural tendancy will be to look at the tablet, the same as if
you were using pen and paper. Instead keep an eye on the monitor to
watch the cursor and where it's going.

Also, to get used to the tablet quickly - don't limit its use to your
graphic programs. Put the mouse down for a few days. Use the tablet for
all navigation. You'll be comfortable using it before too long.
