NT is the system on which XP was built. Windows XP as was Windows 2000 were
updates, rather dynamic updates, to Windows NT.

Whether or not this can be overcome is problematic but you might try using
compatibility. Start\All Programs\Accessories\Program Compatibility Wizard.

If that doesn't resolve it, you might check with the application web site to
see if there are updates for the programs or if there are later versions
available.
