progress log (abbrev.) last two days

Log of burning using Nero Vision Express 2 se
Untitled Project DVD Video
using Imation 4x DVD RW for video
Started burn at 9:40 am Wed July 5
process bars, writing leadout
9:44 Disc is not a DVD VR compatible Media
9:50 Started formatting disc, format successful
10:07 could not perform Disc at once, End Session

Tried AVI file-apparently fully successful with a mini clip
from my Canon A40 at 10:50 am
11:06 burning another mini clip after title selection
"Disc not empty-erase" window!!!!
11:30 tried to add large file save to Hard Drive
Total time almost 3 hrs.
However it ended up defaulting to ______ I dont know.....
i.e. all unsuccessful July 5.

July 7 10:33 am Apparently exporting file (AVI?) as MPEG
Tried burning to HD instead of direct to DVD
appparently seemed to work.
Put a DVD in settop player Menu said Blank Disc but preparing
then started at about 35% and took 30 secs to finish to done....

Now have a Video TS file folder with 12 components, one being
a 660 meg .VOB file !!!!!!! HUH???? Now what....
AHHHH its a Nero Showtime File... cool, whats that mean...
hardly a MPEG to be found....

Exporting AVI file but to WHERE? No info on Nero where its going
and the DVD RW drive doing nada. Used quick method, lo quality
single pass, should take 20 minutes....

Took 25 min, nothing is on disc????

All this two days worth, for NADA, nothing, but frustration. Apparently
this the WMM and its little brother Slide Show has been secretly been given a
virus by either Iran or North Korea, keeping the US tech subculture occupied
while they went forward.....

Of course its ME, oooops, no, another poor devil has 12 replies to his
