Can I transfer PowerPoint presentations to movie maker without losing picture
quality?

I have tried Producer but want to try movie maker to present
classes/slideshows for students on my computer.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There are quite a few PPT converters out there. Some good and some not so
good.
Have a look at this website for details and optional programs to download:
http://www.videohelp.com/convert
Or Google for "PPT to AVI"
One good one that is really only an Add-In for Power Point is "PPT to Video
Scout"
