Default QuickTime in MM2

I now only have QuickTime stand alone. When I upgrade to QuickTime Pro will
all forms of .avi files be compatible with MM2? Also, will the .avi movie
files downloaded from uTorrent be compatible with MM2 as well? I'd like to
sometimes edit out a clip of one of those movies. Thanks.

QuickTime Pro is supposed to have
the option to convert QuickTime .mov
files to other formats.

And...the following article may offer
some ideas .

As for compatibility of *all* other .avi
files...you'll just have to experiment.
