Default MSN Search Toolbar - If it -IS- install, where is it?

Hi All,

Am I losing my mind? I downloaded MSN Search Toolbar this morning, to
install it (I used to use it, and liked it, on a different computer, with a
different installation).

When I tried to install it, it tells me there's a more current version
already installed, and stops the installation!

ARGH!!!

I looked everywhere...if MSN Search Toolbar (Or Windows Desktop Search,
which I also downloaded seperated and tried to install) is already
installed, I CAN'T FIND IT. It's not on the Programs list, it's not in the
Add/Remove Programs, and I can find nary a hint of it anywhere...

....but when I try to install it, it insists a more current version is
already installed!

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong, and why I can't find it if it is installed?

-David

I should say, I just found "Windows Desktop Search" in my Add/Remove
Programs list, and that when I click on the KB article fior it (917013), it
tells me that it is "Windows Desktop Search 3.0 Beta Engine Preview"

http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=917013

But if this product is installed on my computer anywhere, and in use, I
can't find any executable to actually USE...
