Problem installing XP SP2 "Access Denied"
We've had dial-up service until this morning and now switched to high speed
RoadRunner cable service. I went to download XP SP2 (which I could never do with dial up) and about half way through the installation, I get a pop up window that says ACCESS DENIED, then uninstalls everything that started to install. Any idea on how to install XP SP2?? |

You receive an "Access is denied" error message when

I assume you meant to validate my copy of Windows, which I did after reading
your post. So I tried downloading it again, and one again, about half-way through, I got the ACCESS DENIED message and the PC uninstalled everything that was installed up to that point. Any other suggestions? Has that link / kb changed?
When I opened it, it only shows as far as 'Workaround', steps 1,2,3 open a blank window.
