Home to XP Pro SP2 Errors during upgrade???

I Upgraded Home edition of XP to Pro and received several errors.
First time I run the CD from the drive, I did not note down all errors.

After install XP worked but was missing some fuctionality
(I could not get to sync My Documents with the Server)

I run the upgrade again after coping Upgrade CD onto my HD.
The errors happened again

I run the upgrade the third time, noted all errors
and I think they were not all same as before.

The files that setup was looking for during "Preparation" step
were there ALL in the path:
C:\$WIN_NT$~ls\i386
visible but it still did nor work
What did I do wrong?
