Yesterday, I returned to my computer to find that the Task Bar and Start Menu
had vanished for reasons unknown. System couldn't be restored to an earlier date using System Restore. I have carried out a clean boot - Task Bar still didn't appear. I have started the m/c in Safe Mode - Task Bar and Start Menu OK. None of the normal keyboard key strokes have any effect eg Ctrl - Esc doesn't show the Start menu. What do I do next? |

Try going into Advanced startup options by pressing F8 at bootup. Then try
the ''Last know good configuration'' option. Usually having no Start menu or taskbar points toward having a corrupted registry.
