I'm trying to install macromedia shockwave player 10.1 on firefox and when I
go through the steps I get a warning saying... You do not have access to make required system config mods. Please rerun the installation from an admins account. Ok, I only have only one account (no guests) on XP thats password protected. So it should be the admins account, right? Any ideas on how I need to go about giving myself access to adding plugins? Many thanks!!! |

If using XP Home you may need to boot into Safe Mode to logon as the built
in administrator account which may have a blank password. You can also use that account to add other users to the administrators group. You can use the command net localgroup administrators to see what users are members of the administrators group. --- Steve "renaldo" <renaldo@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:57583667-7BE9-4835-ABCB-C35E8A3FE3CC@microsoft.com... > I'm trying to install macromedia shockwave player 10.1 on firefox and when > I > go through the steps I get a warning saying... > > You do not have access to make required system config mods.
