Have you tried uninstalling all printer drivers installed on you machine? I had that problem after installing a driver for my printer off the windows update sight. Had to remove the inf files by hand. Just do a search in C:/windows/inf for files containing the name of the printer. You may have to enable explorer to show all files. I deleted the files and when windows booted it couldn't find the drivers after searching a message popped up saying no drivers were installed and windows would not attempt to load drivers for that device again. Then I restored the files from the recycle bin in case I had deleted something I would need later. Jim Manning |
