Default New power supply problem

I just had a new power supply installed in my computer.
Now my DVD and CD-RW are no longer recognized by XP.

Thay have power to them (trays open and close) but they
don't show up in "My Computer"....

Any thoughts??

Thanks,

Dave

You didn't get the IDE cables properly re-attached.

Or you caused some electrostatic damage to the drives, or
you changed the jumper settings, maybe both are slaves???

Do the drives show up in the BIOS? That has to be the
first place to look at to see If It's a hardware or
software fault.

The drives showed up in the BIOS but their names were all
screwed up. Samsung and Sony showed up as Qamsung and
Qony. I checked the IDE cables and the connection at the
motherboard was loose. All is back to normal now.

Thank you,

Dave
